Weevils in North Las Vegas

Weevils are a type of beetle belonging to the superfamily Curculionoidea. They are usually small and herbivorous. About 97,000 species of weevils are known. They belong to several families, with most of them in the family Curculionidae (the true weevils). There are other beetles that bear the name “weevil,” even though they aren’t closely related to weevils. Such as the biscuit weevil (Stegobium Paniceum), which belongs to the family Ptinidae. Their ability to damage and kill crops is the main reason weevils are considered a pest. The grain or wheat weevil (Sitophilus Granarius) damages stored grain. The boll weevil (Anthonomus Grandis) attacks cotton crops; it lays its eggs inside cotton bolls, and the larvae eat their way out. If you have weevils in your North Vegas kitchen or pantry, you should call Bulwark to remedy the infestation.
