Black Widows typically mate during the spring time, has to do with the temperatures coming up and down, the male actually only has to insinuate or fertilize the female once, once per life and she can produce six to twenty egg sacs for the rest of her life, 200 to 300 per egg sac that's a couple thousand babies per black widow.
