Well for starters, the male black widow is not black its usually a brownish tanish color, much smaller than the female and luckily for us is not venomous. His venom sacs, poison sacs, actually cease to develop as he matures, so only poisonous for about the first eighteen days, that's if you swallow him, so probably not a good idea to have those sitting on your desk.
