Brown Recluse Spider in Mesa

Spiders are usually harmless, but seeing one in your Mesa home can still be scary. Arizona is not a natural habitat to the Brown Recluse, but some spiders that are easily confused are the Desert Recluse and the Wolf spider. The Desert Recluse is similar as it has a violin shaped mark on its cephalothorax. It is light to dark brown and has 6 eyes instead of 8. Wolf spiders are larger and have more stray markings on their bodies. To better identify the spiders in your Mesa home check out our Brown Recluse guide or our Wolf spider identification blog.

Immediatly seek professional medical help if bitten by a Recluse spider.
